HCC President & CEO Scott Muelrath Honored with “Heart of the Community” Award by HopeLink of Southern Nevada
Honoring a Chamber Leader Whose Commitment to Community Is Reshaping Southern Nevada

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce is proud to share that our President and CEO, Scott Muelrath, has been named the recipient of the "Heart of the Community Award" at the inaugural HopeLink of Southern Nevada Impact Awards.
Hosted at the Moon Event Space inside Palms Casino Resort, the celebration marked the launch of a new tradition for HopeLink of Southern Nevada, a vital non-profit committed to keeping families housed and supported. The event honored three community leaders whose vision, service, and leadership reflect HopeLink’s mission of Keeping Nevada Housed. Alongside Scott, the organization recognized Aaron Neubert of ANX with the Heart of Design Award, and Stephen Hamile of Sol-Up with the Heart of the Future Award.

A Leader Who Builds with Heart
Scott’s recognition is more than a personal milestone. It’s a reflection of the Chamber’s broader commitment to community-focused leadership. Since taking the helm in 2011, Scott has helped transform the Henderson Chamber of Commerce into a regional powerhouse. Membership has tripled to over 2,200 businesses, and the Chamber’s operating budget has increased by 400%.
But Scott’s work goes far beyond the numbers. Under his leadership, the Chamber has launched major initiatives like the Association Health Plans (AHP)—now one of the largest chamber-led AHP in the nation—providing affordable health coverage to more than 15,000 Nevadans, including HopeLink’s own team.
Programs like Launchpad, Nevada’s longest-running business incubator, and Community Cares, a volunteer and philanthropic initiative supporting local charities, demonstrate Scott’s deep belief that business and community are not separate lanes. They’re parallel forces driving shared prosperity.
As former Henderson Mayor Debra March shared during the award presentation, “Scott is not just a voice for business; he’s a voice for the entire Southern Nevada community. He shows up, he listens, and he acts.”

Making Space for Everyone at the Table
Scott has also made it a priority to elevate non-profit voices. Today, more than 140 charitable organizations are active Chamber members, many as a direct result of his personal outreach. Whether supporting food insecurity programs, youth robotics initiatives, or crisis response efforts, Scott has cultivated a Chamber culture rooted in collaboration, compassion, and action.
HopeLink’s CEO, Aaron Sheets, put it best: “Scott represents what it means to build a stronger, more compassionate Southern Nevada. We are proud to celebrate his leadership and service.”
A Well-Deserved Honor
On behalf of the entire Henderson Chamber of Commerce community—our members, staff, volunteers, and partners—we extend our deepest congratulations to Scott on this well-deserved recognition.
His leadership continues to inspire us to lead with heart, build with intention, and show up for one another. We are grateful to have a leader who understands that strong businesses build strong communities, and that strong communities don’t happen by accident. They are created by people who choose to serve.
Congratulations, Scott, and thank you for all you do to make Southern Nevada stronger, every single day.
