President & CEO
Scott Muelrath has served as President and CEO of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce (HCC) since 2011, leading its growth into a regional business organization serving approximately 2,300 members across Southern Nevada. During his tenure, the Chamber’s operating budget has increased by more than 500%, expanding its capacity to support businesses, advocate for employers, and advance economic development.
A central achievement of Muelrath’s leadership is the development of HCC’s association health plans into one of the largest chamber-led programs in the country. He spearheaded the launch of the Chamber’s association health plan in 2018 and guided its adaptation to new regulations in 2021. Today, HCC’s fully insured, Affordable Care Act-compliant plans serve more than 900 member businesses and cover approximately 20,000 lives, helping employers provide health benefits for employees and their families. His work on the program earned him the Partnership Award from the organization now known as the Las Vegas Regional Economic Partnership (LVREP).
Muelrath also supports efforts to connect Southern Nevada’s economic growth with its workforce needs. HCC’s Manufacturing and Construction Committees, made up of local industry leaders, identify key workforce challenges, opportunities, and trends, helping inform collaboration among businesses, educational institutions, and workforce partners. These efforts complement I CAN BE, the Chamber’s longstanding program connecting high school students with career pathways through hands-on career fairs and direct engagement with industry professionals.
His regional leadership includes service on the City of Henderson Mayor’s Economic Development Task Force and the LVREP board. He serves as Chair of the Nevada State Campus Lands Corporation (NSCLC), supporting land development aligned with Nevada State University’s academic plan. Within HCC, he serves as Secretary and an Executive Board member, as well as an Executive Board member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Henderson Development Association, the Chamber’s private-sector economic development committee.
Muelrath received HopeLink of Southern Nevada’s Heart of the Community Award in 2025, recognizing his community leadership and service. His other honors include Nevada State University’s President’s Medal in 2023, the U.S. Small Business Administration Nevada District’s Urban Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2022, and the Silver State Awards’ Non-Profit Executive of the Year. In 2023, Governor Joe Lombardo appointed him Chair of the Government Reform Policy Committee.
