Patty Charlton, Vice President and Provost - Henderson Campus
Patty Charlton was the vice president and provost for the Henderson Campus of the College of Southern Nevada, the largest and most ethnically diverse higher education institution in the state. Ms. Charlton oversaw all operations of the campus, one of three CSN campuses in southern Nevada. She was responsible for staffing, class development, community relations and developing the physical campus as it grows. In her role Ms. Charlton was responsible for the operations of the Green Valley Center, Water Street location, and developing CSN’s presence in the south and southwest parts of the Las Vegas valley.
Ms. Charlton joined CSN in 1995 and has previously held several important leadership roles at the college, including in strategic initiatives, finance and administration. Before joining CSN, she worked for the U.S. Department of Energy where she was responsible for budget development and contract negotiations.
A Henderson resident since 1982, Ms. Charlton is a proud graduate of CSN, earning her associate degree in business management from the college. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in business administration and her Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in public policy at UNLV.
Ms. Charlton serves as a board member of the United Way of Southern Nevada, is on the Henderson Community Education Advisory Board, and is a 2016 graduate of the Leadership Henderson program sponsored by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.
