Chris DeAngelis, Vice President Special Projects

Chris DeAngelis has been a resident of Southern Nevada for 46 years, moving to Henderson at age 17. A graduate of Green Valley High School, Chris pursued studies at UNLV before embarking on a diverse career journey. After six years in hospitality at The Mirage Hotel & Casino and seven years as a full-service Realtor, Chris transitioned into the construction industry, joining Martin-Harris Construction as a Project Administrator.

Over his 17-year tenure with MHC, he has steadily risen through the ranks, holding positions such as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Director of Special Projects, Senior Project Executive, and ultimately, Vice President of Special Projects. In his current role, Chris serves on the MHC Leadership Council and oversees the Special Projects Group, which completes 40 to 70 projects annually. These projects range from tenant improvements, renovations, building expansions, and unique ground-up buildings outside of MHC’s core market sectors.

Chris has been pivotal in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring many MHC associates, fostering a culture of personal and professional growth within the company. His expertise includes business development, customer service, team building, process improvement, strategic and business planning, career plan coaching, and leadership. Passionate about self-development and emotional intelligence, Chris is a dedicated student of "The Work" and shares MHC’s belief in "building people before projects," supporting executive and leadership development opportunities to associates within the company.

A strong advocate for philanthropy, Chris has spearheaded numerous charitable initiatives. He has worked closely with organizations such as Make-A-Wish, Future Smiles, the Inspiring Children Foundation, and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

A highlight of his philanthropic efforts was leading his Leadership Henderson Class of 2022 in raising over $650,000 in cash and in-kind donations to fully renovate three transitional homes for the Inspiring Children Foundation. MHC recently partnered with the foundation again to raise an additional $160,000 in in-kind trade work for the renovation of a fourth home. Chris also serves on the Board of Advisors for The Angel Charitable Corporation.

Outside of work, Chris is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife Jodi, whom he married in 2015, are the proud parents of two children, Cason, 7, and Aria, 9. Chris also volunteers as a soccer coach, having coached Cason’s team since the age of 3. The DeAngelis family enjoys spending time together at Legoland, Disneyland, Lake Mead, and the beaches of New Jersey and California.
