Aileen Pastor

Aileen Pastor, Manager of Transit Events, Detours, and Partnerships

As a Las Vegas native, Aileen Pastor has a vested interest in Southern Nevada and has dedicated her life to the community she calls home. Since 2007, Aileen has served in multiple roles at the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and is currently the transit manager of events, detours, and partnerships. She leads the day-to-day transit operations for all special events, construction detours, and community partnerships for the RTC, a unique agency that serves the region as its metropolitan planning organization, public transit system, and traffic management center. Prior to transit operations, Aileen held RTC roles in government affairs, advertising and graphics, public relations, and community outreach.

Aileen has been an active participant in volunteering with many nonprofit organizations and serving on different community boards. She currently serves on the Leadership Henderson steering committee as the curriculum co-chair. Outside of the leadership program, Aileen is the immediate past president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), which is a professional association for both men and women, and local membership includes individuals that represent transportation, engineering, roadway construction, and infrastructure. She is also a College of Southern Nevada Promise mentor to nearly a dozen students each semester. 

Aileen holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communication from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is active with her collegiate alma mater and serves as a board vice president for the College of Urban Affairs alumni chapter and is on the Journalism & Media Studies selection committee. 

In her spare time, Aileen’s passion for travel has brought her to nearly 20 countries and more than half of the United States. She is a self-proclaimed foodie, who cooks, bakes, and can easily be peer pressured into AYCE sushi.
