HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber will host a Roadmap to Success Series workshop on human relations from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10. “Looking Ahead to 2013 – HR Means Business” with Mary Beth Hartleb, CEO with Prism Global Management Group LLC, will take place at the Henderson Business Resource Center, located at 112 Water St. in downtown Henderson’s Water Street District.
During the workshop, Hartleb will discuss how to strategically plan for 2013 and help participants understand the year’s employment outlook and how that impacts their business. She also will show how knowledge of upcoming legislative changes can be implemented into the workplace.
Henderson Libraries proposes 2-cent tax rate increase to counteract 30 percent budget decrease, keep libraries from closing
HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce Issues Committee has endorsed the Henderson Libraries Tax Initiative (Henderson Libraries Question 1) for the upcoming general elections.
“The Henderson Chamber’s endorsement is a big win for us,” said Tom Fay, executive director for Henderson Libraries. “The business community demands an educated workforce – especially if it wants to continue to attract new businesses. Public libraries help the local school district to provide that education – for free. We are grateful to the Henderson Chamber for its endorsement.

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host a network breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Terrace Banquet Hall – located at 1361 W. Warm Springs Road near North Stephanie Street in Henderson.
The guest speaker will be Jim Livengood, UNLV athletics director, and the event will feature a drawing for UNLV Men’s Basketball tickets for the opening game against Northern Arizona on Nov. 12.
