Each of the principals of Greenview brings their passion for sustainability and a wealth of experience in green building design, operations and maintenance to every project. GRN Vision is a professional Energy and Green Building consulting firm that provides low cost energy efficiency solutions for commercial clients that save costs and provide healthy environments where their employees can be more productive and happy. GRN Vision provides green building certifications using the LEED, Green Globes, and commercial Energy Star programs. GRN Vision also regularly conducts training courses and seminars on green building design, construction and resource-efficient building operations and maintenance. Rick Van Diepen
Originally from Northern California, Rick has made Las Vegas his home for the past 24 years after receiving his degree in Architecture from Berkeley. After co-founding and building a strong list of clients, Rick and Dave together founded GRN Vision LLC to be able to service their growing list of government sector clients. Prior to joining Green View Rick served as the first executive director for the nonprofit, Green Chips, a regional NGO promoting sustainability in the public-private arena. A LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional since 2004, Rick's primary emphasis as an architect and energy consultant has been to promote collaboration during the design process. Rick previously was the Associate Principal and firm-wide Sustainability Manager for PGAL Architects nine offices in the US and Mexico.
Rick also has had experience leading and developing community-based nonprofit organizations having served as board member and two terms as state President with the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Nevada Chapter. Rick was a board member and chair for Green Chips prior to joining their staff and has also served on boards for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Las Vegas Chapter and Nevadans For Clean and Reliable Energy (NCARE). A 2008 graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Las Vegas program, Rick has been an active member of the community performing volunteer work and pro-bono design services to several local charitable organizations including a LEED Platinum prototype design for Habitat for Humanity and assisting with the design of the first homeless navigation center in Nevada. Rick has been a featured guest speaker and panelist for numerous local professional groups, and local TV and public radio programs on the subject of sustainable design.
