Nevada School of Inquiry (NVSI) is a non-profit private middle school for grades 6-8. At NVSI, we focus on providing students an environment that inspires them to follow their passions through inquiry, exploration, and wonder. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of well-rounded, confident problem solvers. Of course, none of this would be possible without the continued support from community partners. We would greatly appreciate any contribution that can be made to our school at this time. We currently accept any and all school supplies, monetary donations, and classroom furniture. If we cannot immediately use donated goods, we have other partners who may benefit. Please visit our website or contact ethreeton@nvsi.school to set up donations. As the official non-profit partner of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Get Outdoors Nevada is seeking in-kind donations of bottled water and/or electrolyte sports drinks (i.e. Gatorade, Powerade, etc.). These donations will allow Lake Mead National Recreation Area personnel to provide bottled water to distressed visitors and other park personnel during the warmest months of the year, when they are at greatest risk for heat exposure, dehydration and other heat-related illnesses. This is an essential service so that the Park can sustain a positive and safe experience for all and is only possible through donations, due to federal budgetary restrictions.

Our ALS families are at serious risk of complications from contracting coronavirus and this can inhibit them from grocery shopping. In addition, many of our families were being supported by a sole provider who worked in the casino or restaurant industries and have lost their jobs. To help these families, we are asking for grocery store or food delivery gift cards so they can be sure to have food in the home for both the person with ALS and their caregiver. Gift cards can be mailed to our office, 3191 E. Warm Springs Rd, Las Vegas NV 89120

We are very concerned for our NICU families and nurses. Moms and Dads with babies in the NICU are in very high need of masks, sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer. They are still permitted to see their babies in the ICU but they need to protect themselves and their families from COVID so they don't bring it into the NICU. We also want to support our hospitals with masks. We encourage direct donation of these to hospitals but we can also facilitate to get them directly into Labor and Deliver and into the Neonatal ICU. Supplies can be delivered to our PO BOX: 209 S Stephanie St. #B144, Henderson, NV 89012.

Serving Our Kids Foundation

More than 90,000 Clark County kids don’t get enough to eat every day. CCSD breakfast and lunch programs help feed these kids when they’re in school. But not all schools provide food assistance on weekends or when school is not in session. And many hungry kids throughout Southern Nevada receive food assistance at all. Serving Our Kids provides weekend meal bags to thousands of hungry kids. But there are thousands more we want to serve. And we need your help. Serving Our Kids needs:

  • More first-time and recurring donors who will support our mission and enable us to expand our operations and improve our services.
  • To increase the number of non-perishable food items in each weekend meal bag.
  • Food sponsors who will supply us with nutritious, single-serving foods that don’t need a can opener or boiling water to prepare.
  • Donations from corporate giving programs, such as Smith's Inspiring Donations.
  • Smith’s shoppers to use our Organization Code, DS346, and donate a portion of their purchases to Serving Our Kids.
  • Business partners who will donate cash or in-kind services that help us purchase food, extend our reach and increase public awareness of Serving Our Kids and the daily challenges of food-insecure kids in our communities.

Since 2004, Club Christ's tutoring and mentoring programs have impacted the lives of thousands of Las Vegas youth. We strive to meet the unique needs of our students through innovative assessments and personal learning plans. Elementary students enrolled in our weekly tutoring program typically improve one-two grade levels per year in their reading ability. Uniquely based out of under-resourced apartment complexes, our programs meet the needs of students by providing quality mentoring and academic support right where they live. We strive to equip the next generation of young leaders. We are currently receiving donations for healthy snacks, reading manipulatives, board games, and kid's books for our learning program. To donate, you can send an email to
info@clubchrist.org to coordinate with one of our staff. We are in need of volunteers at our learning centers that can work with the kids and support the Center Director. Volunteers typically serve one day a week for 2 hours at a Learning Center. If you are interested in volunteering and working with the kids, you can go to www.clubchrist.org/volunteer

United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) unites our community to improve people’s lives from cradle to career. UWSN created the Emergency Assistance and Community Needs Fund to assist those impacted by Coronavirus-19 (COVID-19). During this crisis, the needs of the most vulnerable people in our community are increasing, and that group of people is growing--there are people who need help today that have never needed help before.  We created the Emergency Assistance and Community Needs Fund to provide food, shelter and utility assistance to the hundreds of thousands of Nevadans in need. Bank of America is covering all administrative fees and underwriting expenses related to the fund.  When you make your gift to the fund, you can also support United Way of Southern Nevada’s general fund and help move our community forward. Together, we can make sure Nevadans can succeed, now and in the future. Learn how you can access support and find other community resources at uwsn.org/COVID19.
