Nominations Sought for Henderson’s Heart of the City Award

The City of Henderson is accepting nominations for its Heart of the City Award, which recognizes individuals who have performed exceptional acts of kindness. The award is administered by the city’s Be Kind Committee, which promotes the benefits associated with incorporating acts of kindness into the mindset and way of life for the people who live, learn, work and play in the City of Henderson.

The award is presented annually to a citizen or city employee who has demonstrated distinctive service or acts of kindness that have enriched the lives of the community. PBTK Opens Reno Office

Piercy Bowler Taylor & Kern (PBTK), a full-service accounting firm, announces that it has recently opened an office in Reno, Nevada.

Now the third PBTK location, the Reno office is located at 200 S. Virginia, Suite 655. The firm’s services will focus on accounting, audit, tax planning and preparation, 401(k) audits, and forensic accounting.

High-profile Las Vegas solar projects receive support from corporate, government and regulatory entities.

Solar energy is definitely the most popular sector of the entire energy and utilities industry — from federal and local tax credits to media buzz and everything in between — but Las Vegas is taking the hype and turning it into high-profile projects in the commercial industry.

On June 20, Las Vegas Mayor Carloyn Goodman and North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee were in attendance as Cox Communications and Manheim Nevada, both subsidiaries of Cox Enterprises, dedicated two ground-mount solar projects. The Cox Las Vegas project is in Las Vegas and the Manheim Nevada project is in North Las Vegas. It’s back-to-school time in Nevada and across the country, and as kids and young adults are returning to the classroom many adult students are thinking about going back to school as well.
