This session will also address community involvement opportunities available now that can better position to-be candidates for a future in public service.

Join us for an educational half-day, non-partisan program to discuss what it takes to become a winning candidate directly from campaign strategists, political news commentator, as well as current elected officials at the state and local levels.

Learning modules will address: expectations of running for office, developing a comprehensive campaign strategy, engaging with news media, how to seek campaign endorsements and more.

Who should attend?

Anyone who has considered serving on:

  • Local boards and commissions

  • City Council

  • County Board of Supervisors

  • Legislature

  • OR! Who wants to be an educated campaign volunteer

The HCC’s Campaign School is hosted biennially (every other year), with the last program taking place in 2015 in partnership with the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
