Dear Fellow Chamber Members,

Education forms the foundation of our workforce, and a solid workforce helps to strengthen our community. That’s why I always look forward to our “Swing for Success” Golf Classic, which supports both Henderson’s own Nevada State College (NSC), and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce (HCC). NSC is an important contributor to educating the young people of our community and Southern Nevada.

This was our 22nd year holding this fundraiser, and it continues to grow in popularity. We had 116 golfers come out to support us this year. Special thanks goes out to both our corporate sponsor, Wells Fargo Bank, and our host, Anthem Country Club (General Manager Ben Wood and his team did an outstanding job). Anthem Country Club was again the perfect host for Swing for Success, just like they have been every year since 2009. We truly could not hold this event without them, so thank you, Anthem, from all of us!

The day started with a terrific breakfast sponsored by Dotty’s, and CORE Construction generously sponsored our golf carts for the tournament.

 Anthem Country Club won first place gross for the day, while our very own Henderson Chamber won 2nd place gross. NV Energy won first place net, and the team for Harsch Investment Properties came in second net.

American Pacific Corporation sponsored all of the awards for the day. We had some sponsors for extra awards as well: Delmar Gardens of Green Valley sponsored the drive landing closest to the pin, St Rose Dominican Hospitals sponsored the longest drive of the event, and Henderson Hyundai promised a new car for a hole in one.
