David Dahan, Immediate Past Chair


Orgill Singer & Associates
A 38-year resident of the Las Vegas Valley, David Dahan served as vice president and managing partner for Orgill/Singer & Associates for nearly 12 years before becoming the company’s chief executive officer and owner with Eric Springall.

With more than 24 years experience in the insurance industry, he worked in independent insurance sales prior to joining Orgill/Singer.

In addition to his vast experience in the insurance industry, Dahan is active in the development of the Southern Nevada business community. He is currently the president of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and a member of its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce President’s Club. Dahan was voted a member of the Las Vegas Jewish Federation, where he served as the organization’s treasurer from 1995 to 1997 and as president from 1997 to 1999. Continuing to support local causes, Dahan was added as Chair of the board of Las Ventanas Retirement Community and the governing board of North Vista Hospital. Dahan is on the executive board of Nevadans for Affordable Healthcare, co-chair of the Healthcare Strategic Alliance, and was the Chair of AIPAC member of American Israeli Public Affairs Council.

Heralded for his community service and efforts in the business community, Dahan was named a 2005 Person of Influence by In Business Las Vegas and Orgill/Singer was awarded a 2005 Small Business Excellence Award by the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and as well as multiple winner of Best Place to Work by the Southern Nevada Human Resource Association. Dahan was named Business Person of the Year at the 2004 Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Awards. Dahan has also received a congressional recognition from Congresswoman Shelley Berkley and a certificate of recognition from Senator John Ensign. Dahan served as “Principal for a Day” at Silverado High School and Career Day sponsored by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, and earned the Young Leadership Award of the Year in 1996. Conscientious about the underprivileged and underserved, David visited the former Soviet Union in 1998 with fellow presidents of the Jewish Federation throughout the country, traveling beside former Israeli Prime Minister, Shimon Peres.

For his pioneering work on behalf of the Las Vegas Jewish community, esteemed Congregation Ner Tamid honored Dahan as its 2007 “Mensch of the Year.”

Moreover, Dahan has pursued self-growth and development by undertaking the 8-month curriculum of Leadership Henderson in 2003 where he was elected speaker of his class, and was the chair of the 2005 Leadership Henderson program.

In honor of his late wife, Dahan and his daughters, Shana and Michelle, established the Yaffa Dahan Nursing Foundation at UNLV to promote continued education for individuals who wish to pursue a career in the nursing field.
